Announcing our Rescheduled Concert:
Friday, February 7,2025 7:30 PM
As the age-old question goes, “What came first, the chicken or the egg?” —we’re pondering a similar mystery in the world of music: What comes first when writing a song? The lyrics or the melody?
Join us Friday, November 22, 2024, as Soli Deo Gloria explores this question through an enchanting concert entitled “From Quill to Chord” where poetry meets music. Our theme will showcase beautiful works by famous composers who have masterfully blended verse with melody.
Come and experience the magic as we sing poetic masterpieces brought to life with music. Mark your calendars and stay tuned for more details!
On behalf of the Board of Directors of Soli Deo Gloria, we are saddened to inform you of the recent death of Michael Carter, husband of our director, Dr. Julie Carter. Please pray for the Carter family as they grieve the passing of a beloved husband, father, and friend.
In view of this, Soli Deo Gloria will postpone our November 22, 2024 concert to February 7, 2025. If you purchased tickets, they will be honored at the rescheduled concert. If you have any questions, please contact Sharon Robert, the choir administrator by following this link. We appreciate your understanding.
Michael constantly supported Julie’s dream of an advanced singing group that would sing to the glory of God, and played a huge role in making that dream come true. He was a charter member of the Board of Directors (he gladly waived the two-term limit and was on his sixth three-year term!), and was always cheerful and helpful as a board member. He was a great ambassador for Soli Deo Gloria, serving as the MC at our concerts as long as his health permitted. The Board will miss him greatly
