Announcing our May 2, 2025 Concert, “In Love’s Shadow”

Our spring concert will highlight the often fickle subject of LOVE which the Greeks had several words for. There’s Eros (romantic love), Philia (friendship), Caritas (divine love), Ludus (playfulness), and Agape (love for all mankind). Bring your favorite companion to enjoy together the beautiful voices of Soli Deo Gloria as we dazzle and move you in song exploring all types of love.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Soli Deo Gloria, we are saddened to inform you of the recent death of Michael Carter, husband of our director, Dr. Julie Carter. Please pray for the Carter family as they grieve the passing of a beloved husband, father, and friend.
In view of this, Soli Deo Gloria will postpone our November 22, 2024 concert to February 7, 2025. If you purchased tickets, they will be honored at the rescheduled concert. If you have any questions, please contact Sharon Robert, the choir administrator by following this link. We appreciate your understanding.

Michael constantly supported Julie’s dream of an advanced singing group that would sing to the glory of God, and played a huge role in making that dream come true. He was a charter member of the Board of Directors (he gladly waived the two-term limit and was on his sixth three-year term!), and was always cheerful and helpful as a board member. He was a great ambassador for Soli Deo Gloria, serving as the MC at our concerts as long as his health permitted. The Board will miss him greatly
