Soli Deo Gloria is the premier women’s ensemble in the Central Valley. We are a chorale of 16-20 women who strive to sing at the highest level of excellence and, as our name means, “to the glory of God alone.” (This phrase, or the initials “SDG,” was often added by the eminent composer J.S. Bach at the end of his compositions.)
We have a top-notch artistic director, Dr. Julie Carter, who pushes us to do our best, and we love her for it.
We currently perform two programs per year, one at the end of each semester in the fall and spring, and rehearse once a week, 3-4 weeks per month, to prepare for the concerts. We usually try to repeat the program.
